Award Winner

CDL is honoured to receive the Sustainability Award at the SIAS 18th Investors' Choice Awards on 25 September. This is the second consecutive year that CDL is receiving the award. The Sustainability Award recognises companies with substantial Sustainability Reporting report and practices. Companies were assessed based on the company leadership and culture; environmental, social and governance principles; sustainability framework, materiality assessment and stakeholder engagement.

2018 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) Real Estate Assessment – Sector Leader
for Office in Singapore and Asia

This year, CDL cements its position as Sector Leader for Office in Singapore of the 2018 GRESB Real Estate Assessment. On top of this, CDL was also named the Sector Leader for Office in Asia.

GRESB assesses the sustainability performance of real estate and infrastructure portfolios and assets worldwide, that helps define the environmental, social and governance (ESG) concepts and frameworks for the real asset sector. The assessments are industry-driven, guided by material issues in the sustainability performance of real asset investments and are aligned with international reporting frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Attended by industry and investment executives, the presentation of the 2018 GRESB Results for Asia was held at Distrii Auditorium at Republic Plaza on 20 September.

Building Construction Authority – Health Promotion Board (BCA-HPB) Green Mark for
Healthier Workplaces – Platinum

CDL is one of the six companies that achieved the Green Mark Platinum rating in BCA’s pilot scheme – BCA-HPB Green Mark for Healthier Workplaces.

Announced on 7 September, this new scheme is an expansion of BCA’s Green Mark awards. In collaboration with HPB, the awards recognise companies that create healthy office spaces, going beyond being environmentally friendly and energy savings.

2018 United Nations Global Compact Sustainability Development Goals (UNGC SDG) Pioneer

Ms Esther An, Chief Sustainability Officer at CDL, is one of the recipients of the UNGC SDG Pioneers for Green Infrastructure and a Low-Carbon Economy. She is the first individual from Singapore and one of the first two Southeast Asian women to receive this prestigious recognition.

Each year, the UNGC celebrates a group of SDG Pioneers – individuals from around the world who are championing the SDGs through their own companies and inspiring others to join the movement.
