Hotel In
Manchester
Reveals A New
Look For Its
Bar And Restaurant

The Lowry Hotel in Manchester has undertaken an ambitious seven-figure refurbishment to reinvent its iconic riverside leisure, dining and drinking destinations.

Completing two months ago, the five-star renovation saw an entire redesign of the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Retaining the incredible, unique riverside views and terrace, and the Lowry’s commitment to service, the new lounge bar and restaurant features soft hues, a new layout and bespoke furnishings.

The new establishments, the Lowry Lounge & Bar and River Restaurant, will each feature independent flair and personality.

The fresh new look for the Lowry Lounge & Bar features a new layout with the choice of sociable or comfortable secluded seating.

The Lowry Lounge & Bar now offers guests a choice of sociable or comfortable secluded seating surrounding a feature bar. The space has long known as a luxurious hideaway for Mancunians (or Manchester residents) in-the-know and home to impromptu performances from some pof the hotel’s high-profile guests including Lady Gaga and Take That. Together with its new look, an entertainment and events programme featuring live performances has been planned, in addition to new creative drinks and food under the stewardship of Food and Beverage Manager Mr Daniel Thompson.

The River Restaurant offers a dynamic menu curated by Executive Head Chef Mr Dave Ashton, which heavily features locally sourced produce to be enjoyed alongside the hotel’s fine wines from world-famous vineyards. The restaurant will also continue to offer its popular Sunday lunch and daily afternoon tea in its new settings that provides riverside views or private intimate dining.

The new look is created by renowned interior designers Goddard Littlefair, who also designed the hotel’s newly refurbished Presidential Suite earlier this year and lobby areas.

General Manager Mr Adrian Ellis commented, “It’s an incredibly exciting year for The Lowry Hotel. We’re investing nearly £5m in developments to cement our status as Manchester’s premier five-star hotel amongst growing competition in the city. The new Lowry Lounge & Bar and River Restaurant allows us to maintain our five-star service standards as well as offer a personalised experience for all guests, whether it be an overnight stay or superb evening out.”
