Bringing together 35 leaders from MHR’s corporate office and Singapore properties, the Strategic Leadership Programme created a platform for collaboration, shared learning and fresh perspectives across the Group.
Leading With Purpose:
Millennium Hotels
And Resorts’
Leaders Turn
Strategy Into
Action
Over four intensive days, 35 leaders from Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ corporate office and Singapore properties came together for a Strategic Leadership Programme focused on sharpening commercial decision-making, strengthening collaboration and building the leadership behaviours needed to perform under pressure.
Facilitated by Heidi Gempel of HGE International, the programme took participants through four key stages of strategic execution: generating insights, focusing priorities, aligning teams and putting strategy into action.
But the learning did not stop at the workshops.
The facilitator guiding participants through the programme, challenging them to examine business priorities from different perspectives and turn insights into actionable strategies.

Working in hotel teams, participants developed Strategic Execution Projects addressing real business priorities, from improving revenue quality and profitability to strengthening demand mix. Each project was structured for implementation within 60 to 90 days, with a clear owner and cross-functional team responsible for taking the ideas forward.
The programme culminated in project presentations to a judging panel comprising MHR’s senior leadership – Mr Eik Sheng Kwek, Executive Director; Ms Cinn Tan, Chief Commercial Officer; and Mr Choong Kiak Tan, Chief Financial Officer.
MHR senior leaders reviewed the teams’ Strategic Execution Projects and shared their feedback.

Teams presented their recommendations and demonstrated how strategic thinking could be translated into practical action, with a clear focus on accountability, execution and measurable outcomes.
Beyond the project work, the four days provided an opportunity for leaders from across the Group to exchange perspectives, challenge assumptions and learn from one another. The programme also encouraged participants to step beyond their individual functions and consider how their decisions can contribute to wider business priorities.
With the programme now complete, the focus shifts from the classroom to execution. The Strategic Execution Projects give teams a clear pathway to turn their ideas into action, while the lessons from the programme provide a foundation for stronger commercial decision-making and leadership across the business.
