Initiative Award
Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore has been named Best Sustainability Initiative (Hotel) at the recent M&C Asia Stella Awards 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, which recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in Asia's MICE and hospitality industry.
The recognition reflects the hotel's wide-ranging sustainability efforts, including the introduction of filtered drinking water dispensers in every guestroom, refillable bathroom amenities and bamboo key cards to reduce single-use plastics.
The hotel has also embraced technology to improve environmental performance. Smart room controls help optimise energy consumption, while its linen and towel reuse programme encourages guests to participate in reducing water and energy usage. EV charging stations further support green travel and more sustainable operations.
Sustainability also extends to the dining experience, with the hotel adopting a farm-to-table approach through locally grown produce, organic ingredients and responsible sourcing practices that help reduce food miles.
These initiatives are reinforced by the hotel's SACEOS Singapore MICE Sustainability Certification Gold (Venue & F&B) and recognition by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
This award is a testament to the collective efforts of the Grand Copthorne Waterfront team to make sustainability an integral part of everyday hospitality.
