City Developments Limited (CDL) is supporting Singapore’s national Go 25 movement as part of its ongoing climate action and decarbonisation efforts.
Launched by the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) and the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, with support from the National Environment Agency and the Building and Construction Authority, Go 25 promotes more sustainable cooling practices. Research cited by SGBC found energy savings of up to 12% for each degree that air-conditioning temperatures were raised from 23°C to 25°C in offices.
Even before the movement was launched nationally in May 2025, CDL had introduced measures to reduce cooling energy demand across its corporate offices. The Green Building, Decarbonisation and Safety, Asset Management, Corporate Services & Procurement, and Human Resources teams worked together to:
- Maintain indoor temperatures at 25°C across CDL’s corporate offices since October 2024
- Install more than 100 bladeless hybrid cooling fans to enhance air movement
- Introduce a business casual dress code from November 2024 to support a comfortable and energy-efficient workplace
