In celebration of World Food Safety Day earlier this year in June, The Heritage Hotel Manila organised a Food Safety Awareness Training for its staff.
On 7 June, some 20 staff from the Food & Beverage, Banquet and Stewarding departments attended the food safety training. Facilitated by Hygiene and Stewarding Manager Ms Amy Saqueza, the training aimed to ensure that hygiene, sanitation and food safety remains a top priority despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. During the training session, staff got to refresh their learning on proper food handling, grooming and cleanliness in preparation of meals.
This Food Safety Awareness Training is part of a Food Safety Management System campaign initiated by The Heritage Hotel Manila General Manager Mr Farid Schoucair. It is also among the monthly food safety trainings the hotel organises, which focuses on aspects including Food Safety Management Systems, Hygiene and Sanitation and Prevention of Foodborne Illnesses.
