Hua Ting
Closes For
Renovations

Orchard Hotel’s award-winning signature restaurant Hua Ting recently closed for renovations and is set to re-open in early December 2017.

For over two decades, Hua Ting Restaurant has been among the most respected and acclaimed stalwart of the Singapore Chinese dining scene, well-regarded for its gastronomic excellence in fine, authentic Cantonese fare.

This long-awaited transformation of Hua Ting signals the momentous evolution of one of Singapore’s most renowned Chinese restaurants, committed to delivering a more distinctive dining experience and aimed at strengthening its stellar repute as the destination for best-in-class traditional Cantonese cuisine.

The brand-new Hua Ting Restaurant will showcase completely new interiors; while innovative culinary creations will be introduced, diners can still expect the best of Masterchef’s signatures and creative classics.

During the period of its revamp, the restaurant will continue to serve reservations of three tables and above at the hotel’s function rooms.

In appreciation of Hua Ting diners’ unwavering support over the years, Masterchef Lap Fai presented a carefully-curated six-course set dinner to mark Hua Ting’s last night before it closes for a major revamp. Aptly titled “A Memory To Behold”, the special set dinner showcased Chef Fai’s unmistakable flair – signature creations reflecting the hallmarks of true Cantonese culinary traditions - that struck a chord with his regular customers.

The six-course menu featured a combination trio of Signature Crispy Roasted Duck, Charcoal Grilled Kurobuta Pork with Honey Sauce and Chilled Jelly Fish with Aged Vinegar; Double-Boiled Shark’s Bone Cartilage, Whole Conpoy, Shiitake Mushroom, Braised Homemade Emerald Beancurd, Pan-fried Scallop and Local Spinach, Golden Chicken Cutlet with Premium Sour Plum, Live Prawns XO Sauce Mee Pok and Homemade Almond Cream with Egg White and Glutinous Rice Ball.

The dinner event allowed loyal fans of Hua Ting to revisit fond and nostalgic moments at the iconic stalwart. Among the supporters who came to mark the restaurant’s last evening was Singaporean actress Pan Ling Ling and her husband Huang Shinan.
