The property will be repositioned as Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort come 2018.

AccorHotels has taken over the management of Maldives luxury resort, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi from 1 September 2017, and rebranded it to Dhevanafushi Maldives Luxury Resort.

It will then be rebranded as the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort in late 2018 following a refurbishment.

Set on the private island of Meradhoo, Dhevanafushi Maldives features 21 island villas and 16 ocean villas with private pools, three restaurants and a cocktail bar.

Each villa offers privacy and tranquillity, with stunning panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The Ocean Sanctuary villas (above) also offer sublime sunset and sunrise sights.

Recreational facilities and services include a spa, an over-the-water fitness centre, yoga programmes, water sports, private dining options, 24-hour butler and private chef service, along with snorkelling and diving through the resort’s PADI-certified dive centre.

Vincent Yeo, Chief Executive Officer of CDL Hospitality Trusts, said, “With active asset management being one of the key pillars of our management strategy, we believe the appointment of AccorHotels for the resort will allow us to optimise its asset potential and redefine this resort at the very top end of the luxury resort sector in the Maldives, following the re-positioning exercise in 2018.”

“We are thrilled to announce our very first luxury resort in the Maldives at a time when the region is enjoying excellent growth, especially with travellers from Asia Pacific,” said Patrick Basset, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels, Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia.

“AccorHotels is bringing to the resort our expertise in delivering unparalleled luxury experiences renowned in our Raffles, Fairmont and Sofitel brands, along with the benefits of our award-wining global loyalty programme, Le Club AccorHotels.”

The resort can be accessed by a 55-minute flight from Male Airport and a 15-minute speedboat transfer.
