Earlier this year, during Malaysia’s Movement Control Order (MCO) lockdown, Copthorne Cameron Highlands embarked on a cabbage planting project. What started as a regular gardening project was soon brought to another level, going from farm to table for dining.

Organic homegrown cabbage planted by the hotel team.

The cabbages that were planted during the MCO had been harvested and cooked in dishes in the staff canteen for the Caretaker Crew who were unable to return to their hometowns before the inter-state borders in Malaysia closed.

Then, the idea blossomed into harvesting this organic homegrown cabbage and served as for guests, allowing them to enjoy fresh produce that goes straight from the garden, to the kitchen, and to the dining table.

This farm to table concept is set to be an exhilarating experience for guests from the city and have never experienced harvesting vegetables. Guests can also choose for the cabbage to be boiled, braised or fried.

As the hotel moves towards becoming a family-oriented place, there will be more activities themed around Nature and Development introduced. Stay tuned!
