Grand Millennium Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi has partnered with the Al Jalila Foundation for a campaign to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

For the month of October, the hotel will be hosting Pretty in Pink Afternoon High Teas and Charity Quiz Nights to raise funds for the cause.

Grand Millennium Al Wahda General Manager Mr Enad Tannous said, “While there is little to no awareness among women about this disease, it is predominantly the most commonly occurring cancer in women and the second most common cancer across the world. Grand Millennium Al Wahda is concerned about the 2020 world statistics which shows over an estimated 268,600 thousand new reported cases and the number is increasing year-on-year.”

The funds raised will go to the Al Jalila Foundation, which provides support for breast cancer patients in the United Arab Emirates.
