While the hospitality industry worldwide has been greatly challenged by the pandemic, M Social Auckland was retrospectively awarded the 2020 Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Winner. The award is TripAdvisor’s highest honour and acknowledges the hotel’s efforts for the past 12 months.

The TripAdvisor award was welcomed by General Manager Mr Nigel Edwards, which he says is a true testament to the team effort on a splendid result in 2019-2020.

He said, “The focus and determination we place on guest satisfaction has paid dividends, to be placed in the top 1% Worldwide will give our team a huge boost. We also pay tribute to our leadership group for the direction and confidence to enable the hotel to achieve such recognition. As we meet new challenges in the coming months and our business model changes somewhat, we are determined to continue exceeding guest expectations in readiness for the inevitable return to the new normal.”

TripAdvisor is the world’s largest platform, and the awards uses reviews, ratings and saves from over 460 million travellers to award the best. Other than M Social Auckland, Grand Copthorne Waterfront and Millennium Taichung have also been named ‘Best of the Best’, putting them in the top 1% of hotels worldwide.
