On 6 September, The St. Regis Singapore continued its tenth anniversary celebrations with an exclusive event at Astor Bar. In collaboration with Time Out magazine, Time Out Cocktail Club: Shanghai Nights showcased cocktails by some of the city’s best bartenders, presented amid surrounds accented to evoke 1930s Shanghai.

Guests were treated to drinks crafted by Christian Chavez, Bar Manager at The St. Regis Singapore, along with Andrew Loudon from Tippling Club, Sam Wong from Mona Lounge, and Ronan Keilthy from Junior. Each bartender provided a cocktail demonstration, and shared the stories and inspiration that brought each of their creations to fruition.

From syrup infused with the St. Regis Singapore tea blend incorporated into Christian Chavez’s cocktail Astor of the Orient, to smoky bak kwa garnish served atop Sam Wong’s Dangerous Romance, guests’ tastebuds were piqued and delighted as they relished in each drink. Pairing perfectly with the selection of tipples was a variety of delicate canapés inspired by the theme, such as drunken chicken wrapped in cucumber, and crispy pork belly perched on deep-fried mantous.
