Nearly fifty couples vied for a S$10,000 wedding package at Grand Copthorne Waterfront’s inaugural Ten Grand Movie Marathon, organised together with Singapore River One.

The overnight movie marathon saw couples start their evening with a hearty dinner buffet at Food Capital, before cosying up on plush beanbags in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom, watching four films – Bride Wars, Ready Player One, Me Before You and Isle of Dogs. Couples also had the opportunity to meet various wedding services vendors such as bridal boutiques and photography studios.

Couples who had already signed a wedding banquet package with the hotel prior to the event stood a chance to win a one night’s stay in the elegant Presidential Suite, while prospective wedding couples who were planning their celebrations stood a chance to win a wedding banquet package worth S$10,000.

At the end of the 13-hour event, a lucky draw was held, with names picked out by Hotel Manager Mr Terence Ng. The lucky couple who won the S$10,000 wedding banquet package was Mr Soh Hua Hang and Ms Lee Jing Yi, while Mr Nigel Ong and Ms Eileen Yu won the Presidential Suite stay.
