Mr Carl Riechman, Food Server & Shift Leader at Millennium Maxwell House Nashville was named ‘Star F&B Server’ by the Nashville Hospitality Association and Tourism Board, and at the state-level by the Tennessee Hospitality Association and Tourism Board.

The 53-year-old has been with the hotel for 23 years and is deeply treasured by his colleagues and routinely praised by hotel guests.

Mr Riechman is involved in all the hotel’s F&B operations across its restaurant Pralines and bar Maxwell’s, and Banquets. He is also a firm believer of Blue Ocean Shift and is constantly striving for ideas on how he can improve his customer service.

Mr Riechman has been with the hotel for 23 years and is deeply treasured by his colleagues, often going the extra mile to help wherever he’s needed.

He puts his heart into his work, and is always ready to lend a hand to his colleagues. He is willing to jump in when bartenders need an extra pair of hands during a big rush, or help with simple things like washing dishes and restocking vending machines, and ensure that sick employees get their needed rest by volunteering to pick up their shifts.

Ms Pat Miller, Human Resources Admin, shared this about Mr Riechman, “Carl takes pride in his work and has a big heart. He developed a friendship with one of our long-term guests who has been dining with us for 30 years! This guest is legally blind, and for as long as Carl has worked at the hotel, he has made sure he is on the schedule for this guest’s regular lunch days. To say that Carl takes care of this guest is an understatement. Other than getting him food from buffet, they have also developed a personal friendship. They know about each other’s family and keep track of important events in each other’s lives. This close relationship has been extremely important to this guest as his eyesight has deteriorated over the years.”
