After nearly eight months of friendly, yet intense, competition across 16 sports, Hong Leong Finance Ltd has emerged as the overall champion in the 2025 Hong Leong Olympics!

Badminton

Over 2 action-packed weeks, the HL Olympics Badminton Tournament saw some exciting rallies and jaw-dropping shots, with City Developments Ltd zooming up the leaderboard, closing the gap with Hong Leong Finance Ltd and locking down joint second place with CBM Pte Ltd.

A big shoutout to the badminton warriors who took on the challenge of playing in all 3 categories (Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles) over the two weeks!

Sports Day

The excitement came to a head on 19 October 2025 at Bukit Gombak Stadium, where the final events took place during the much-anticipated Sports Day.

CBM Pte Ltd and City Developments Ltd put up a strong fight during the finals, with the latter scoring almost on par with Hong Leong Finance Ltd. However, with the points accumulated from the earlier events, Hong Leong Finance Ltd ultimately emerged victorious, proudly claiming the newly minted Challenge Shield.

The Sports Day brought together around 200 staff and family members, who filled the stadium with cheers, laughter, and plenty of team spirit. The running events saw some nail-biting finishes, while the novelty games provided lots of fun and laughter for everyone.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was the Parent-and-Child Dash, where parents and their little ones raced together - a wonderful reminder of the community spirit that makes our Hong Leong family so special.

The event wrapped up with the traditional Tug-of-War, where teams gave their all in one last display of strength and teamwork. The day ended on a high note as Mr. Chia Ngiang Hong (CDL GGM) and Mr. Kwek Eik Sheng (CDL GCOO and Hong Leong Club Patron) presented the Challenge Shield to Team HLF, marking a well-deserved victory and a fantastic close to this year’s Hong Leong Olympics!

Congratulations, Team HLF!
