In celebration of The Heritage Hotel Manila’s 27th anniversary, the hotel honoured dedicated staff with long service awards for five, ten, 15, 20 and 25 years.

The awards recognised the hard work and loyalty of these long-serving staff, who have excelled in their roles. They have also been an inspiration for the commitment and passion for the hotel industry over the years.

Additionally, the hotel also continued its efforts in food safety, with a Legionella Awareness Training held in end-September. Some 15 staff from various departments including Executive Committee, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering attended the training.

The training was facilitated by The Heritage Hotel Hygiene and Stewarding Manager Ms Amelou May Saqueza, about the risk of spreading Legionella growth, a bacteria common in many environments, such as aquatic systems and cooling towers. Through the training, the hotel aims to reduce the risk by having a regular preventive maintenance in the main water system, especially as good hygiene and sanitation remains the utmost priority for the hotel with the ongoing pandemic.
