Grand Millennium Beijing brought a taste of Vietnam to locals and guests alike with its Vietnamese Food Festival. It was held at the hotel’s CBD International Cuisine restaurant in October.

The hotel invited a top Vietnamese chef who have previously cooked for former United States President Barack Obama to bring authentic flavours from the Southeast Asian country, working together with the hotel’s Executive Chef Yosef Szeto.

Guests were treated to authentic cuisine with signature Vietnamese dishes, such as beef phở, with broth cooked from fresh beef brisket, beef bones and herbs, and topped off with springy rice noodles, tender beef slices and fresh vegetables. Other ‘wow’ dishes include gỏi cuốn, which are fresh prawns wrapped in rice paper and served either deep fried or chilled, and bánh mì, or Vietnamese baguette sandwiches with savoury fillings.
