CONTINUING its support for Al Jalila Foundation, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa (MHR MEA) visited the Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital in Dubai to see how the hotel group’s fundraising efforts has helped the non-profit organisation.

MHR MEA earlier launched the ‘Taddamon’ fundraising initiative in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in April this year, where guests staying at participating hotels in the UAE can donate AED5 towards mental health research through Al Jalila Foundation.

The team from MHR MEA, comprising Mr Kevork Deldelian, Chief Operating Officer; Mr Alexander Suski, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing; and hotel general managers based in the UAE, went on a tour of the Children’s Specialty Hospital. They were led by senior management from Al Jalila Foundation, and visited the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre of Excellence, as well as Rehabilitation Centre and Recreation Centre.

“Al Jalila Foundation’s medical research, education and treatment is key to saving lives in the UAE, spreading awareness and solutions to save countless lives and we’re thrilled to be able to do our part to help them. This visit is the first to a series of events that we are planning across our various hotels in the UAE,” said MHR MEA Chief Operating Officer Mr Kevork Deldelian.

Al Jalila Foundation Director of Partnerships and Sustainability Mr Sulaiman Baharoun said, “We are proud to see the Millennium Hotels and Resorts' guest donation initiative growing and are hopeful that it will reach a larger international community through the group’s visitors from around the world.”

The Al Jalila Foundation was founded by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is dedicated to advancing healthcare research and education. The 13 participating hotels in ‘Taddamon’ are Grand Millennium Dubai, M Hotel Downtown Dubai, Millennium Plaza Dubai, Millennium Airport Dubai, Copthorne Dubai, Bab Al Qasr Abu Dhabi, Grand Millennium Al Wahda, Kingsgate Abu Dhabi, Copthorne Sharjah, Copthorne Airport Dubai, Millennium Atria Business Bay, Studio M Arabian Plaza and Grand Millennium Business Bay.
