The Café Biltmore Restaurant & Terrace by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton has opened at The Biltmore, Mayfair in London.
Opening its doors on 21 April, the new dining establishment has ben designed as an elegant escape amongst the bustle of vibrant Mayfair in London’s West End. Its 70-seat makes use of the hotel’s extended terrace.
Chef Jason Atherton also overseas the wider food and beverage offerings at the hotel, including fine dining restaurant The Betterment, Pine Bar and Tea Lounge. In contrast to the elevated dishes The Betterment is known for, The Café Biltmore Restaurant & Terrace will offer a more casual take.
Highlights on the menu include cured Loch Duart salmon with ponzu dressing, lime, coriander and chilli; Dorset crab on toast, confit lemon, natural yoghurt and sourdough; buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with Churchill sauce in a brioche bun; and lemon tart with yoghurt sorbet.
Chef Jason Atherton said, “After months at home, I wanted to create the opportunity for people to socialise once again, and the beautiful surroundings of The Biltmore Mayfair – with an outdoor terrace now almost double the size of its previous form – was the perfect place to realise this.”
“It offers escapism, but at the same time, a much-needed return to the familiar. I hope people will enjoy the relaxed café-style menu we have created for The Café Biltmore Restaurant & Terrace, whether it’s for a casual meet-up amongst friends or to celebrate a special birthday that was missed. We cannot wait to bring people back to Mayfair,” he added.
While Café Biltmore is currently outdoor seating only, it may open for indoor service on 17 May if government restrictions allow. The Betterment will also reopen later this year.
