In March, Riviera Country Club continued its collaboration with Wild Women, a global organisation that focuses on enhancing and supporting local community projects where they operate. On 27 March, the team took over the clubhouse lobby with a charity spin-a-thon held for 12 hours.

Some 100 spin enthusiasts took turns in an indoor cycling marathon for 12 hours, which raised RMB20,000 for charity.

All smiles for the group that completed the last hour of the spin-a-thon, which was held in a tag-team style over 12 hours.
Some 100 participants signed up for one-hour slots to indoor cycle, keeping the 12 bikes in motion over the 12-hour period, with some participants even going for second or third slots! The event raised over RMB20,000, with proceeds going towards Roundabout China, a social enterprise that supports the less fortunate in China, Inner Mongolia and Mongolia.
At the spin-a-thon, the Beijing United Family Hospital was also there to offer health readings, nutritional advice and guidance on Chinese and Western medicine, while Peach Café provided food and drinks, with 100% of proceeds also going to the charity.

On 4 April, Riviera Country Club teamed up with the Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF) for its Easter celebrations, which led to a great turnout for its Easter egg hunt, Easter market and other activities. The Easter egg hunt saw nearly 150 children running around Beijing Riviera’s East Lakes searching for multicoloured eggs. For the special event, 20 disadvantaged children under MCF also joined in the Easter egg hunt, which was an enjoyable and totally new experience for them. The event was a success, with happy parents and children, and about RMB6,000 raised for the MCF.
MCF is a non-profit social enterprise in Beijing that works with disadvantaged schools to provide healthcare and educational opportunities to underprivileged children.
