Held on 10 April 2018, the CDL Staff Communication Session saw Group CEO Mr Sherman Kwek sharing about CDL’s business highlights and strategies going forward. Also known as the CDL Townhall, the event was held at Orchard Hotel and was attended by close to 350 staff.

As part of CDL’s journey of renewal and transformation, Mr Kwek unveiled the company’s new GET strategy. GET, which stands for Growth, Enhancement and Transformation, entails various strategic initiatives to drive sustained growth and business excellence.

Specifically, Growth looks at expanding property development and recurring income from asset rentals while Enhancement focuses on developing CDL’s products and efficiency through asset enhancement initiatives, asset repositioning and redevelopment, and increasing operational efficiency. Transformation explores how innovation and change can drive business performance, build new capabilities and reshape how the CDL team works for greater synergy and effectiveness.

In addition, members of the CDL Executive Committee also participated in a candid session where they answered a wide range of questions from CDL staff, ranging from employee benefits to operational concerns and corporate strategies. The event ended off with an awards presentation ceremony to employees for long service.
