In support of Chairman Mr Kwek Leng Beng’s vision of incorporating Blue Ocean Shift in the workplace, Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur recently held a one-day workshop to create and establish their Blue Ocean Shift Launch Pad for 2018.

Attended by the hotel’s management team, the session was organised to inspire and embrace innovative solutions to stay ahead of the market’s competition. Various ideas and learning activities were initiated during the workshop and the hotel is now targeting to roll out 13 Blue Ocean Shift strategies for the year.

Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur General Manager Mr Peter Gibbons said, “Our new mantra is ‘We’re in motion with Blue Ocean’ and we are truly excited to implement these strategies to meet Millennium & Copthorne Hotels' goals.”

Staff were also presented with Blue Ocean Awards, as nominated by their fellow colleagues. It is the first year that the hotel is giving out these awards, and there are plans to include an award for ‘Best Blue Ocean Idea’ for the upcoming dinner.
