A mix of sweet nostalgia and wafting aromas of spicy coconut curry filled the atmosphere during the recent Long Service Award luncheon held in the newly established Bugis Street Brasserie & Bar, a proud new member to Millennium Broadway, stood members of a very distinguished covenant. In its yearly tradition, the hotel held a celebratory event in honor of its 62 dedicated service staff of whom hit five, ten, 15 and 25 years of service that same year.

Commemorating the event was President North America and Chief Technology Officer, Mr Howard Wu, and Millennium Broadway General Manager Mr Benedict Ng and Hotel Manager Mr Niek Mestdagh. Staff members were awarded American Express Gift Cards and received a certificate marking their long years of contribution to the hotel. The celebration ended with the staff being treated to scrumptious tasting Singaporean dishes and festive cakes.

“The one thing that never changed in all my 20 years at this hotel, is that the guests are always excited about living the New York City experience,” recalls Concierge Mr Thomas Adams.

“I have continued to stay after so many years because here, I feel valued - I can fondly remember a time when Benedict came across my name positively mentioned on TripAdvisor and he took the time to acknowledge my good work. I felt empowered. I really like working here - I see these people more than I see my own family, and now they have become my second family.”
