M Social Resort Penang, Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ (MHR) latest hotel in the state of Malaysia, was recently awarded a 4-Star rating under the Tourist Accommodation Premises Grading (PPP) for the Resort Hotel Category. The milestone was achieved following a comprehensive inspection conducted in December 2025, less than a year after the resort officially opened its doors in July 2025.
The inspection was led by YBrs. Dr. Annuar bin Mohamed, Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) Penang, alongside a panel of representatives from key industry and regulatory bodies. These included the Malaysian Association of Hotels, the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, the State Health Department, the Penang Island City Council, and Tourism Malaysia Penang. The process evaluated the resort’s facilities, safety measures, and service standards to ensure compliance with national grading criteria.
