One of the highlights of the afternoon was the lively Lo Hei session (tossing of yusheng), symbolising prosperity, unity and good fortune for the year ahead. The seniors were then treated to a festive lunch and lively programme that brought much joy and laughter to the celebration. Performances included a repertoire of traditional Chinese New Year celebratory songs and a fun lucky draw segment, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.

Towards the end of the programme, mandarin oranges and red packets, jointly gifted by CDL and Mrs Kwek, were presented to the elderly beneficiaries to usher in the New Year with blessings of good health and happiness, bringing the session to a heartwarming close.

Initiated in 1999, the City Sunshine Club (CSC) is City Developments Limited’s dedicated employee volunteer platform, established by late Deputy Chairman Kwek Leng Joo to foster a strong culture of volunteerism. Over the years, CSC has provided employees and their families with meaningful opportunities to engage community partners and support the less fortunate through diverse outreach programmes.

An enthusiastic “Huat Ah!” from everyone to welcome good health, success and prosperity for the Year of the Horse.
