Millennium Hotels and Resorts has appointed Mr Paul Er as Vice President, Sales, Asia, effective 1 March 2021.

An MBA graduate from the Heroit-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Paul brings with him more than three decades of extensive experience in powering revenue growth, enterprise sales management, negotiation and marketing across various industries.

Prior to joining Millennium Hotels, he was most recently Regional Director, Global Sales, SEA with Marriott International, orchestrating the Sales teams across the Southeast Asia region to catapult performance and achieve consistent year-on-year growth. Before that, he held a string of sales leadership roles with global hospitality companies such as Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Meritus Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Worldwide.

Mr Ken Orr

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand (MCK) has appointed Mr Ken Orr as Vice President Operations, effective 1 April 2020.

Currently the General Manager of Grand Millennium Auckland, New Zealand’s largest hotel, Ken has been with the Group in various managerial and operational roles over the past twenty-four years in Queenstown, Christchurch and Wellington.

An economics graduate from Scotland, Ken had a humble start at Millennium Hotels and Resorts, starting as a Porter in Millennium Hotel Queenstown in 1997. He then moved throughout the hotels (seven in total!), with eleven years in Wellington as General Manager of the former Copthorne Plimmer Towers and then at Oriental Bay. All that experience culminated in his appointment to Grand Millennium Auckland as General Manager where he quickly integrated himself into the workings of New Zealand’s largest hotel.

Grand Millennium Auckland, with 450 rooms is not a role for the faint hearted. As a management contract Ken has had many directives to navigate, building relationships with the owners and in recent times our Defence Forces and Ministry of Health as a government managed isolation facility. The challenges his team has surpassed specifically in 2020 has demonstrated his tenacity, his people and process focus, and it has been mentioned many times, his warm Scottish accent has helped all to smile.
