Expanding its reach in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa (MHR MEA) has opened two new hotels in the country. In the region, it has also repositioned three properties to its Millennium Central brand, the Group’s newest brand that focuses on hospitality pillars including location, quality, convenience and urban living.
M Hotel Al Dana Makkah
MHR MEA adds 611 keys to its inventory in Saudi Arabia, with the opening of M Hotel Al Dana Makkah. The hotel was formerly named Al Dana Diamond Makkah, with operations taken over by MHR MEA in January this year.
Situated in Al Shisha-Aziziah district at the heart of the holy city, the property is close to key pilgrimage destinations such as the Al Haram Mosque. It caters to both leisure and business travellers, with stylishly designed rooms and suites equipped with the latest amenities.

At the recent Saudi Arabia Hospitality Investment Conference held in Riyadh in January this year, MHR MEA announced the singing of its first Millennium Central-branded property in Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Hasaad Real Estate.
Millennium Central Jeddah will be the brand’s debut in the country, and will feature 210 rooms and suites across two towers, with three food and beverage outlets, a swimming pool, health club, and meeting and event spaces.
MHR MEA Chief Executive Officer Mr Kevork Deldelian commented that the opening of the two new properties M Hotel Al Dana Makkah and Millennium Central Jeddah cements the Group’s commitment to its strategic expansion in Saudi Arabia, which includes the opening of six new hotels across cities including Makkah, Madinah and Tabouk in the first phase.
