A Touch Of Spice

Millennium Al Barsha in Dubai has announced the opening of its new restaurant Moroccan Kitchen, adding new tastes and flavours to the hotel’s dining experiences.

The restaurant is headed by prominent Moroccan chef Maria Zahzah, who has brought flavours for home to the UAE capital. The menu features a wide variety of Moroccan delicacies including lamb couscous with vegetables, lamb couscous with tefaya (a classic Moroccan garnish of caramelised onions), chicken rafisa (a dish often served during traditional celebrations), and tagine with lamb, chicken and fish (a traditional dish named after the earthenware pot in which it is cooked).

A selection of tasty grills are also available, such as kofta (meatball) skewers, lamb kebab and lamb cutlets. Diners can end off their meal with sweet confections such as almond gribba (a type of Moroccan cookie), fekka (small sweet shortbreads) and sheabakiya (a pastry made to resemble a rose, fried, and coated with honey and sesame, and often served during Ramadan and special occasions).

General Manager Mr Christian Palacin said that the unique concept was set to become a preferred destination in Dubai. It provides the authentic Moroccan experience with an extensive selection of delicious dishes made with the freshest ingredients within an open kitchen for multi-sensory dining.
