It was an eventful month of May, as colleagues from Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Copthorne King’s and Grand Shanghai celebrated Mother’s Day (9 May), Receptionists Day (12 May) and Hari Raya Puasa (13 May) together.

The front office team from Grand Copthorne Waterfront were elated with their midday treat.

For Mother’s Day, female colleagues from Grand Shanghai (above), Grand Copthorne Waterfront and Copthorne King’s were treated to nourishing birds’ nest.

For Mother’s Day, female colleagues – be it full-fledged mothers, mothers-to-be or future mothers – were presented with a bottle of nourishing birds’ nest. The hotels also organised a small recognition ceremony for frontline staff ahead of Singapore’s Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) measures kicking in. The programme was to share the hotel’s appreciation for the frontline staff, including front office receptionists and housekeeping, thanking them for their hard work during these unprecedented times. As the day after Receptionists Day was Hari Raya Puasa, cookies were also presented to all team members (both Muslim and non-Muslim colleagues) for the festivities.

Frontline staff were also honoured as ‘Everyday Heroes’ at Copthorne King’s during a townhall session. Pictured is General Manager Mr Kung Teong Wah (right) presenting Mr Pari from Housekeeping with a certificate and prize.
