In May, Riviera Country Club teed off its first golf tournament for the year, in collaboration with the Migrant Children Foundation (MCF). Despite weather forecasts of strong winds and rain, the weather held off and everyone enjoyed a great day of golf. The event was also graced by the Ambassador of Germany to China Dr Clemens von Goetze, and the Ambassador of Spain to China Mr Rafael Dezcellar de Mazarredo.

Following the fantastic game, participants retired back to the Riviera Country Club for dinner and prize giving, with thanks to the platinum sponsor Harrow International School as well as other sponsors, participants and attendees also got to enjoy raffle prizes.
The golf tournament also raised RMB 25,000 for MCF, a non-profit social enterprise in Beijing that supports disadvantaged schools in the city and surrounding region.

Other than the charity tournament, Riviera Country Club has also been regularly organising events for members. Earlier in April, the club organised its very first whisky tasting event. For one night only, Säntis Malt took over the bar to introduce its range of what its Swiss distillery had to offer. The renowned Swiss alpine whisky brand was founded in 1866 and has won multiple awards at the esteemed International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Club members thoroughly enjoyed the whisky tasting session, and even partook in a free flow tasting of beers offered by Säntis Malt to round off the evening.
