China Yuchai International Limited has announced that 600 buses, which are manufactured by Anhui Ankai Automobile and propelled by Yuchai engines, were delivered to Saudi Arabia. This is the largest single export order for Chinese buses for the year so far.

Saudi Arabia’s Hafil Transportation Company took delivery of the 12-metre buses. The buses are equipped with Yuchai YC6L engines, which are 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engines with a displacement of 8.42 litres, offering high efficiency and allows for increased payload capacity for the buses.

Anhui Ankai Automobile Co is a Chinese automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Hefei in Anhui province which specializes in the production of buses and coaches.

Hafil Transportation Company is Saudi Arabia’s largest transportation group with approximately 12,000 buses, of which 8,000 are powered by Yuchai engines.

China Yuchai President Mr Hoh Weng Meng said, “Yuchai engines are highly preferred by Saudi customers as our engines have proven to be able to cope with the extreme heat and the local wind and sand weather conditions. This order further strengthens our leading position in this engine market.”
