The Wagner family, comprising dad David, mum Mary, and two sons, were the happy winners of SiriusXM’s ‘Visit The Beatles Liverpool’ Sweepstakes. Over the Easter weekend, the family of four from Philadelphia, United States, enjoyed a special holiday to the birthplace of The Beatles, where they visited the iconic locations related to the band, and other sights the city had to offer.

The family enjoyed a dinner at Hard Days Night’s Blakes Restaurant with special guest Mrs Julia Baird, John Lennon’s younger half-sister (wearing a necklace).

Other than Beatles tourist spots, the family also visited the Liverpool Town Hall, which was first built in 1754 and is one of the oldest buildings in the city. They were led on a tour of the historic building by the Deputy Lord Mayor Mr Peter Brennan (far right).

Hard Days Night Hotel, the world’s only Beatles-inspired hotel, which was named after one of the quartet’s songs, hosted the winning family for four nights.

Over the next few days, the family visited several iconic Beatles-related locations, including The Casbah Coffee Club, a rock and roll music venue, where they were met with Mr Roag Best, owner of the venue and brother of original Beatles drummer Pete Best. They also visited The Cavern Club, a nightclub that regularly hosted the band when they just started out and were starting to become popular. The tour also included a visit to some of Liverpool’s other iconic destinations such as the city’s famous waterfront, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, heritage buildings The Three Graces, and the Liverpool Town Hall.
