The Bostonian Boston and Regional Marketing teams hosted a series of activities with the objective of amplifying and strengthening the awareness of the MHR-Chelsea Football Club partnership in region, client appreciation and brand awareness. Here are the details of the various events.

Arrival Experience

The team worked to create life-sized stickers of Chelsea players that were adhered to the windows in the entryway courtyard and at North 26 Restaurant and Bar. The photos and banner in the porte-cochere created an exciting and engaging arrival experience. Upon entry into the hotel, the hotel team created a soccer game with a goal and two balls for guests to interact with during the week of the game. These two simple executions created a great conversation starter for the front desk with guests. The hotel also served tea in the lobby with baked tea snacks and a specialty British menu in the restaurant that received many compliments.

To create an exciting arrival experience for fans and guests, life-sized stickers of Chelsea FC players were plastered on the windows at The Bostonian’s courtyard and North 26 Restaurant and Bar.

Fan Zone/Hospitality suite with Chelsea Legend Joe Cole

Millennium Hotels and Resorts participated in Fan Zone, an interactive event where fans visit and interact with brands. Nearly 200 people stepped foot in our inflatable soccer pitch to participate in our “Penalty Kick Competition” over 2.5 hours. Participants needed to score goals in holes 1 through 5 to win exclusive Millennium Hotels and Resorts and Chelsea Football cobranded swag. It was a great challenge and lots of fun for guests while learning more about the Millennium Hotels and Resorts Brand. Those who weren’t able to compete were able to take photos at our 3D Instagram space, growing brand visibility to the thousands who walked by prior to entering the stadium.

After fan zone, we hosted a select few clients invited by in a hospitality suite where they got to personally meet Joe and watch the match ending in a 3-0 win for Chelsea!
