Someone famous once said, “It is much easier for a father to have children, than for children to have a real father.”
This quote has stuck with me, and I certainly striving to do my best. Life is a rollercoaster, and becoming a father is definitely a high point.

When we found out my wife was pregnant, we'd only just moved house and I'd started my new role with M&C. It was hard finding the balance between helping Chloe and going to work. Having said that, the pregnancy wasn’t particularly stressful – except for her mood swings ;)
The labour was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster! It was both the worst and best experience of my life! Watching my wife go through a particularly tough labour was unbearable at times but that feeling of pure joy and relief when Harrison arrived will stay with me for the rest of my life! Chloe did amazingly well and I have to say that I have a whole new found respect for woman after the birth – honestly, us guys are so lucky we don’t have to go through that!
Harrison is now five weeks old and has already changed so much since he was born. He is now starting to smile, develop a personality and each day I become more and more besotted with him.
Since becoming a dad, I've learned quickly that you have to step up! You can no longer be selfish or irresponsible – after all I now have a little man at home who is completely dependent on my wife and I. Yes, it means my social life is no longer what it used to be, and I now drive like a granddad too! But I wouldn’t change it for the world!
