Hong Kong singer, Gillian Chung, from Cantopop duo Twins, celebrated her engagement on 25 May at The Biltmore Los Angeles.

After the engagement party, she also clarified with the media that the couple will be registering their marriage at the end of the year in Hong Kong, and hold a banquet then.

The landmark hotel was the backdrop of the grand prenuptial party for Gillian and her fiancé, Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai, who has been dubbed the ‘Sunny Wang of the medical world’ for his uncanny resemblance to the Taiwanese actor. The couple were surrounded by fifty relatives and close friends, including her manager Mani Fok, singer Joyce Cheng and director Jeffrey Lau, who is also the bride's godfather. Gillian's bandmate Charlene Choi, and stars Joey Yung and Yumiko Cheng made up her entourage.

The hotel ballroom was decked out in an array of pink and purple flowers, which added a romantic air to the ceremony.
