Excellence Award

At the recent North East Hotels Association Excellence Awards, Copthorne Newcastle Meeting & Sales Manager Ms Helen Shieber picked up one of the evening's top accolades for Sales Excellence.

She trumped over a number of competitors to clinch the award, which reflected record meetings and events sales (and weddings in particular), consistently great guest feedback, and a spirit of Blue Ocean initiative in driving the Meeting & Sales department forward.

The North East Hotels Association represents nearly 45 hotels, with a total of 4,500 rooms in North East England. The awards are in its eighth year, and is a celebration of individuals who have committed to service excellence in their role across a range of categories. There are a total of ten categories, including Sales Excellence, Support Services, Community Award, Warmest Welcome, and Inspirational Leader.
