Millennium Sirih Jakarta swept the first and second place trophies at the National Front Desk Competition at the Harmony Festival organised by the Swiss German University (SGU) in Indonesia.

The competition had two categories for professionals and amateur/university level contestants. After going through the initial stages and quarterfinals, contestants were graded on their role-play sessions at the front desk, where they had to face a variety of issues.

The hotel's Guest Services Agents Ms Putri Oktaviani and Mr Muhammad Nazar Husein excelled through the competition and picked up first and second place respectively. A total of 13 participants from various four- and five-star hotels and universities took part.

SGU is a private international university in Tangerang, west of Jakarta, and the Harmony Festival is an annual event that aims to elevate Indonesia's hotel and tourism sector. In addition to the Front Desk Competition, the event also had a Latte Art Competition, where contestants had to demonstrate both etching and free pour techniques for their coffee.
