Introduced in 2025 to help SMEs prepare for a low-carbon future, the programme complements Green 100 by strengthening the sustainability capabilities of businesses. CDL and Hong Leong Finance, are supporting Singapore’s sustainability agenda through the newly launched Green 100 initiative, a national movement that encourages SMEs to begin sustainability reporting and capability-building.

Both companies are among 22 major Singapore organisations that are participating in the initiative to strengthen sustainability engagement across value chains, while helping SMEs to enhance their environmental competitiveness and resilience.

Announced during Ecosperity Week (18-21 May 2026), Green 100 brings together leading enterprises, or “Queen Bees”, each of which will encourage 100 SMEs within their supply chains and business networks to take their first steps in sustainability reporting through a simple, free disclosure process.

As sustainability reporting requirements continue to evolve, Green 100 will also support larger companies in better understanding and managing emissions across their value chains, contributing to Singapore’s broader transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Besides helping SMEs through the Green 100 initiative, Hong Leong Finance also provides green financing for SMEs to develop their sustainability capabilities.
