Renovations

To re-open in September 2019.

Grand Shanghai Restaurant at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel is currently closed for renovations, and is expected to re-open in September 2019.

This anticipated transformation is an exciting change for the 15 year old 220-seater restaurant, known for its authentic Shanghainese cuisine (also known as Hu cuisine) such as Crispy Smoked Duck, Braised “Lion Head” Meatball with Vegetables, Shanghainese Wonton Soup with Chicken, and Pan-fried Yellow Croaker Fish. The restaurant is also a popular venue for Chinese weddings.

Step into Grand Shanghai and one will find themselves transported back to the old days of fine dining in 1920s Shanghai complete with its Sino-European décor, and its resident band and songstress belting out Chinese classic songs such as “The Moon Represents my Heart” (月亮代表我的心) and “Night of Shanghai” (夜上海).

“Grand Shanghai will still retain its old world flair but with a contemporary twist to entice our new and loyal guests. Let it be a surprise when we re-open!” said Mr Andy Wong, Vice President, Food & Beverage, Asia, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, who is keeping details of the restaurant’s renovations a secret for now.

Stay tuned to the grand reveal of the new Grand Shanghai!
