It was with great anticipation when HLCC mall first opened its doors to the public in June 2018. A year has since passed, and the mall spanning nearly 60,000 sqm of retail space has lived up to the expectations of the masses. Racking up more than 1,700 rave reviews on Dianping (大众点评网), China’s largest online consumer review platform with about 290 million users a month (the country’s equivalent of Tripadvisor), HLCC mall has been listed as one of the must-visit shopping malls for the young and old.
Deputy Marcom Manager of HLCC mall, Ms Chen Yeqin tells us how the mall celebrated its first anniversary, themed “a brilliant display of art and ONEder”.
HLCC mall has marched into its first anniversary with continued refinement of attractiveness of the space and extension of the touch points, allowing more frequent, richer and trusted relationships to blossom with its consumers.
The mall’s first birthday was celebrated over three days from June 14-16 in an extravaganza of festivities themed around three keywords, “fashion”, “delicacy”, and “shopping” to resonate with consumers in their lifestyles and attitudes towards life.
The celebration included shopping and dining promotions throughout the mall, performances, and even a fan meet with cast from China’s latest comedy, Dancing Elephants (跳舞吧! 大象). Scheduled for theatrical release on July 26, the movie is about a dancer who wakes up 15 years later from a coma and with massive weight gain, and her tough journey to return to the stage.
