To celebrate its partnership with Chelsea Football Club (FC), Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) in the UK joined other Blues partners to a friendly seven-a-side tournament at Chelsea FC’s home stadium Stamford Bridge.

MHR formed a squad of ten (including reserve players), comprising colleagues from the corporate office as well as London hotels. The ten players, supported by their colleagues, began practising keenly over the weeks leading up to the event day in after-work sessions.

The tournament, which saw a total of 16 teams take part, had four groups of four play in a pool format. Chelsea FC coach and former player Mr Tore Andre Flo was present to cheer the teams on and present prizes.

The MHR team was up against tough competition, playing against other squads that had taken part in previous years, but put up a good fight, winning one and drawing three out of the six matches played!
