Orchard Hotel was honoured with the 2018 Patron of Heritage Award presented by the National Heritage Board for its support towards local heritage and culture.

Last year, the hotel supported the Asian Civilisations Museum’s special exhibition, ‘Angkor: Exploring Cambodia’s Sacred City’, which was held in Singapore for the first time. Orchard Hotel was named the official hotel of the exhibition, which showcased 160 stunning artefacts from the Guimet Museum in Paris, France, including original Khmer sculptures and photographs taken of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 19th century.

The Patron of Heritage Awards were inaugurated by Singapore’s National Heritage Board in 2006 to show appreciation to organisations and individuals who have given generously to heritage causes.
