Hong Kong Champion of Absolut Invite Cocktail Competition

The award-winning bartenders of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong have been receiving more accolades for their exceptional cocktail creations. Competing amongst other top mixologists in Hong Kong, Bar Q88 (pictured above) has won the Absolut Invite Hong Kong Bartender Competition 2017, while Flint Grill & Bar came second. The team of Bar Q88 will represent Hong Kong to compete at the three-day global finals in Sweden, where they will be challenged on knowledge, skills and creativity on mixology. Absolut Invite is a world-wide bartending competition for bartenders who excel in the beverage service industry.

Flint Grill & Bar Placed 3rd in the Greater China Marriott Cocktail Competition

Flint Grill & Bar’s star bartender Lloyd Lumabi (above) continues to shine in the world of mixology as he scored the 3rd Place in the Greater China Marriott Cocktail Competition 2017. He went head to head against fellow bartenders from other Marriott hotels within the region in three rounds. During the competition, he showed his various skills and knowledge in cocktail creation, from sourcing and understanding the ingredients to creating innovative cocktails on the spot within limited time.
