In the spirit of sharing and giving during the month of Ramadan, Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur paid tribute to the city’s traffic police officers.
To thank them for keeping the streets of Kuala Lumpur safe and secure, the hotel’s General Manager, Mr Peter Gibbons, executive committee members and associates distributed meal packs to a convoy of 30 officers. The event saw the uniformed officers driving by the hotel lobby in their bikes and patrol cars, before proceeding to their designated workstations for the day.
The meal boxes that were handed out comprised of a variety of food and fruits, including the Malaysian Ramadan specialty bubur lambuk (a spiced porridge), traditional Malay kuih (cakes), honey dates, lychee, rose apples and a bottle of orange juice. 40 more meal packs were delivered to the Jabatan Siasatan Penguatkuasaan Trafik Kuala Lumpur in Jalan Tun H.S. Lee for servicemen who were on duty there.
“This is a simple and humble gesture to show that we care for and appreciate these officers who put on their uniforms and work on the field during the fasting month. For those who make sacrifices to be on call 365 days a year, who brave heavy showers and sweltering heat to ensure that our safety is their utmost priority. We are delighted to be running this initiative for the fourth year and we look forward to many more in the years to come,” said Mr Peter Gibbons, General Manager of Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur.
