Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa (MHR MEA) has signed a new hotel management agreement for Copthorne Al Basateen Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, in partnership with private investor Mr Hussain bin Yousef bin Ali Nazra.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts will operate the upcoming Copthorne Al Basateen in Jeddah, set to open in 2023.

The newly-built property will feature 232 rooms and 20 suites, along with meetings and events spaces, a business centre, leisure amenities including a swimming pool and gym, and a variety of dining outlets. Copthorne Al Basateen Jeddah is conveniently located ten minutes away from King Abdulaziz International Airport and is close by the Red Sea coast.
MHR MEA Chief Operating Officer Mr Hamid Sidine said, “This expansion comes as part of our ambitious expansion plans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supporting Saudi Vision 2030. We are delighted to expand in Jeddah and contribute to the city’s hospitality offerings.”
At the Arabian & African Hospitality Investment Conference (AHIC) in September last year, MHR MEA announced that it has 18 new hotels in the pipeline. The hotels are set to open in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Turkey and Iraq, adding 5,000 keys to its portfolio in the region.
Copthorne Al Basateen Jeddah is set to open in late 2023.
