It was by accident that I started learning snowboarding. A group of good friends who spent the weekend together asked me if I was interested to try the extreme sport together during a weekend in the winter of 2017. I said yes because I was so inspired when I saw a super cool snowboarding master on the field!

Learning to snowboard is a long process and it brought me great excitement and joy. The feelings and the adrenaline rush are very addictive, and I now spend some time to practice every year during the winter season. I usually snowboard in Chongli in Hebei province, about three hours away from Beijing. It is a mountainous area great for winter sports, and also one of the venues for the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics.

If anyone is looking for an adrenaline rush, I highly recommend snowboarding! However, it is an extreme sport, and it is very easy to get injured. Over the past few years, I have seen many snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts get injured, even my friend who unfortunately developed serious knee problems and had to stop snowboarding. I strongly encourage snowboarders to put safety first and follow the guidance of professionals and instructors. But overall, it is a very fun and exhilarating sport, and one I’d recommend for thrill seekers!
