Children Try
Out Hotelier Life
At New World
Millennium
Hong Kong

Some 12 primary school students aged nine to ten years old got the chance try their hand at being hoteliers at New World Millennium Hong Kong over the holidays last year. The little hotel associates enjoyed a three-day programme and got to learn about the behind-the-scenes in how a hotel operates, in addition to personal development.

The children got to tour the hotel and experience the behind-the-scenes by shadowing trainers in departments such as Engineering and Housekeeping.

They got to tour the hotel facilities, including the restaurants, guest rooms and meeting and events spaces. They also shadowed trainers in various departments, including Engineering, Human Resources and Housekeeping for some hands-on.

The activity was in partnership with St. James Settlement, a non-governmental organisation that provides different development and education programmes for youths and teenagers.
