In the spirit of joy and gifting, City Sunshine Club, the employee volunteer platform of City Developments Limited (CDL) joined in the Christmas celebrations with its Gift-A-Wish initiative at City Square Mall. With the public’s generosity, the meaningful initiative successfully fulfilled all 100 festive wishes from children living in rental units in Limbang in the North West District.

The festive wishes included back-to-school essentials such as school bags and stationery, and items for fun activities such as colouring sets and kick scooters. These were granted and presented by City Square Mall to the Limbang Division at the mall’s symbolic Tree of Hope and Wishes on 11 December 2021. The gifts were then presented at a Limbang Division event to the excited children by Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence Wong, who was Guest of Honour at the community event.
City Sunshine Club also organised the Gift-A-Voucher initiative which concluded on 29 December 2021. Continuing the spirit of giving and sharing, 250 NTUC FairPrice vouchers worth $20 each will be gifted to families living in rental units in Limbang Division. Shoppers and tenants were invited to adopt a voucher by scanning the QR codes hanging on City Square Mall’s Tree of Hope and Wishes, while remaining vouchers will be sponsored by City Sunshine Club to ensure that all beneficiary families receive the warm-hearted gift.
The gifts will be presented to residents during the North West Community Development Council’s annual distribution drive – WeCare @ North West in late-January. CDL has been a long-standing partner for this annual community outreach.
