In a year weighed down by the COVID-19 pandemic and global uncertainty, a silver lining emerged for City Developments Limited (CDL), who received recognition as one of the ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia’, awarded by HR Asia – Asia’s authoritative Human Resource publication.

For the second year in a row, CDL stood out from more than 180 shortlisted companies across Singapore, displaying world-class employee engagement and workplace excellence, while demonstrating empathy and care for its employees.

“Winning this award for the second consecutive year is testament to management’s continual efforts in improving human resource initiatives. By engaging and distilling feedback from our employees, we put in place progressive policies and practices that resonate with them and are imperative to the organisation’s success,” said CDL Chief Human Resource Officer Mr Steven Tan.

The award is Asia’s largest employee-driven appraisal, surveying more than 300,000 employees across 11 markets. Employees rate their employers, providing their sentiment across topics such as collective consciousness, workplace sentiment and team dynamics.
