Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur launched its yearly corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme ‘A Star for a Child’ together with its Christmas tree lighting ceremony. In addition to traditional Christmas ornaments, the Christmas tree was adorned with 120 golden stars bearing the name, age and gender of 60 children from Hospital Kuala Lumpur’s Paediatric Oncology Unit. Currently in its 12th year, the hotel invites visitors and guests to ‘adopt’ a less-fortunate child and sponsor him or her a Christmas present through the project.

On 19 December, hotel staff visited the Paediatric Oncology Unit, bearing the gifts for 60 children. In addition to the Christmas presents sponsored by generous hotel guests and visitors, Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur also gave out plush toys and Christmas cookies that added to the festive spirit.
